Mayor Segarra Hosts Ceremony to Unveil Hartford’s New Public Safety Complex on High Street

(January 3, 2013) – On Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM, Mayor Pedro E. Segarra along with the Hartford Police Department (HPD) the Hartford Fire Department (HFD) and the Emergency Services and Telecommunications Department will host a ceremony to unveil the new Public Safety Complex (PSC) located at 253 High Street.

Following the ceremony, a guided tour of the facility by representatives of the police, fire and emergency services and telecommunications departments will be conducted.  As the PSC is a restricted-access secure facility, those interested in taking the tour are required to register prior to the event by contacting Hartford Police Lieutenant Brian Foley at This email address is being protected from spambots. The following services have been relocated to the Public Safety Complex and are fully operational:

  • 911 Dispatch Center
  • 311 Call Center
  • HFD Fire Marshals and Inspectors
  • HFD Administrative Offices
  • HPD Traffic, School Crossing Guards, and Parking Control
  • HPD Major Crimes Division, Juvenile Investigative Division, Internal Affairs and Backgrounds, Crime Scene Division, Civil Litigation, Advocate Office, Personnel/Planning and Accreditation Offices, Fiscal and Payroll Offices, and the Office of the Chief of Police

The HPD Records Division will relocate on January 12, 2013. Patrol Operations, Booking and Detention continue to operate out of 50 Jennings Road, Hartford.
