HARTFORD, CONN (December 21, 2018) – Today Mayor Luke Bronin announced that he has appointed Jolita Lazauskas, currently Revenue Manager for the City of Hartford, as Acting Director of the Office of Management, Budget, and Grants (OMBG).  Melissa McCaw, current Director of OMBG, will be joining the Lamont administration as Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management after the new year.

“Jolita is a veteran budget manager with almost two decades of experience analyzing financial data and managing revenues and expenses, and I’m confident she will provide strong leadership to our budget team,” said Mayor Bronin.  “She has quickly become a leader on our budget team and I’m grateful for her willingness to step up and serve in this important role.  I have been working with Melissa and Jolita to ensure there’s a smooth transition, and I want to thank them both as well as the entire team at OMBG for their great work.”

“Throughout my career in financial management I have prioritized integrity and accuracy, and I know budgets aren’t just about numbers – they impact people’s lives and we have an obligation to use taxpayer dollars wisely, transparently, and in the public interest,” said Jolita Lazauskas.  “I am honored to serve as Acting Director of OMBG and I want to thank Mayor Bronin for this opportunity.  I am looking forward to continuing to build relationships with our stakeholders at the local and state level.”
