HARTFORD ANNOUNCES COLD WEATHER SHELTER OVER THANKSGIVING
HARTFORD, CONN (November 21, 2018) – Following the State of Connecticut’s activation of the Severe Cold Weather Protocol, Mayor Luke Bronin announced the following warming centers that will be available in Hartford over the next several days.
“We’re going to have a cold spell over Thanksgiving so please stay warm and indoors as much as possible,” said Mayor Bronin. “For anyone who doesn’t have a place to stay, there will be warming centers open in Hartford over the next few days during the day time, and if anyone needs a warm place to stay overnight, please call 2-1-1. We have been working with non-profits and shelters to make sure 2-1-1 has all the information to help people in need. I also urge residents to check in on any neighbors, particularly seniors or people with disabilities, who may be home alone.”
