HARTFORD POLICE TO CONDUCT DUI ENFORCEMENT CHECKPOINT
(Hartford, CT.) – The Hartford Police Department Traffic Division will conduct a DUI Enforcement Checkpoint on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., in the area of 90 Brainard Road.
This checkpoint is part of the Hartford Police Department's ongoing expanded DUI enforcement program supervised by the HPD's Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation DUI Enforcement Program.

Michael Squirewell, is currently wanted for the sexual assault of a female juvenile victim. He has an active felony arrest warrant for Sexual Assault First Degree, Sexual Assault 2nd Degree and
two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. His bond is set at $500,000.00
He is associated with addresses in New Britain, Manchester, and Hartford.
Squirewell is an eighteen year old black male, 5'08" tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, that goes by the nickname "Mike Live".

On Friday, April 17th, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., Investigators from the Hartford Police Department Shooting Task Force, Fugitive Task Force, Connecticut State Police and Department of Probation were investigating information regarding individuals armed with firearms selling narcotics in the Benton Street/Maple Avenue area. During the course of the investigation, they encountered Algelly Diaz, 32 years of age, of 473 Maple Avenue Hartford, Connecticut. Further investigation revealed that Diaz was storing a Beretta Tomcat .32 caliber Handgun, an Iver Johnson Target Model 55A .22 Caliber Handgun, powder cocaine, along with amounts of heroin and marijuana in a nearby apartment.
These items were seized, and Diaz was arrested for Possession of Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Sell Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Sell within 1500ft School, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance, Drug Factory, Theft of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He was subsequently transported to the Hartford Police Booking facility. Diaz is a convicted felon on probation for armed robbery.
