HARTFORD POLICE TO CONDUCT DUI ENFORCEMENT CHECKPOINT
(Hartford, CT.) – The Hartford Police Department Traffic Division will conduct a DUI Enforcement Checkpoint on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., in the area of 809 Asylum Avenue.
This checkpoint is part of the Hartford Police Department's ongoing expanded DUI enforcement program supervised by the HPD's Traffic Division and funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation DUI Enforcement Program.

On June 7, 2015 at about 11:20 p.m. Patrol Units were dispatched to the area of Center Street at Seyms Street for a report of shots fired. Members of the Shooting Task Force responded along with Patrol. Investigation revealed that the shots came from the vicinity of East Street. Four .22 caliber shell casings were located in the roadway near the intersection of Seyms Street at East Street.
In order to investigate further, Patrol and Shooting Task Force members approached a group at 56 East Street. As they walked up the driveway of that location, accused Parker turned and began to quickly walk away while displaying characteristics of an armed person. Officers ordered accused Parker to stop at which point he walked behind a nearby vehicle. Accused Parker was detained and the area was canvassed. The listed firearm was located behind the vehicle. Accused Parker admitted that the firearm was his.
Accused Parker was arrested, debriefed and transported to 253 High Street for booking and processing.
The investigation is ongoing.

Seized / Evidence- Walther Model PP 7.65 millimeter handgun
On June 3, 2015, Hartford Police Department Detectives from the Vice and Narcotics Division along with investigators from State Police Narcotic Task Force executed a search warrant at 100 Francis Avenue. The detectives had previously obtained information that several known suspects were conducting illegal drug sales in the rear of 100 Francis Avenue. The information obtained also indicated that several of these parties were in possession of firearms as they conduct there illegal deals. The search of 100 Francis Avenue produced 1 loaded handgun, a large amount of narcotics, packaging material, and U.S. currency. The detectives also searched 113 Francis Avenue, Hartford. Recovered from that residence was more heroin, packaging material, U.S. currency, and numerous live 9mm, .22 caliber, .40 caliber and .380 caliber rounds. Three individuals form 100 Francis Street were placed under arrest for firearm and narcotic charges.

Evidence: 1107 bags of Heroin, 13 grams of crack cocaine
Evidence: U.S. currency $4,285.00
Evidence: (161) live .22 caliber rounds, (160) live 9mm rounds, (78) .380 caliber rounds and (1).40 caliber round.
