Narcotics Arrest on 205 Sigourney Street

On July 29, 2015, at approximately 8:15 pm, Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers of the Central Conditions Unit were traveling eastbound on Collins Street behind a 2014 Chrysler 300. The Chrysler turned southbound onto Sigourney Street and officers observed the occupants of the vehicle discard a large white bag out of the vehicles window. As Central Condition officers executed a Motor Vehicle stop, an officer in a marked patrol vehicle stopped to recover the discarded bag. Inside the white bag, officers located 5.8 grams of heroin in a single knotted plastic bag, accompanied by an ink pad, a "fox" stamp, approximately 1200 unused, blue wax sleeves and two small dividing spoons. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and later identified as Marc Delgrandi, 19, of Hartford and Jonathan Reyes, 23, of Hartford. Both Delgrandi and Reyes were transported to the Hartford Booking facility to be processed. The Vice and Narcotic Division was notified of the incident.

Arrest Made in May 26th Shooting

On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 10:36pm, Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers responded to 911 Asylum Avenue on a report of a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the stomach. The victim stated to officers, while parking his vehicle a verbal argument ensued between himself and an unknown male suspect. The victim stated when he exited his vehicle the suspect produced a firearm and shot him one time. The victim's child seated in a car seat in the rear of the vehicle was uninjured. On scene, one .22 caliber shell casing was located. The victim was transported to the hospital and immediately brought into surgery. The incident was assigned to both the HPD Shooting Task Force, who were able to locate several witnesses and obtain video surveillance, which gave sufficient probable cause leading to the preparation of an arrest warrant for Alonzo Gregory, 23, of Hartford. On July 22, 2015, an arrest warrant was granted at GA14 with a judge set bond of $2,500,000.00 bond. On July 29, 2015, the accused Gregory was apprehended by members of the HPD Shooting Task Force.

Deshawn Walton Arrested by STF

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 6:38pm, the HPD ShotSpotter system detected four gun shots coming from 697 Windsor Street. 911 calls were subsequently received reporting a victim shot. Upon arrival, Hartford Police Department Patrol Officers located a female bleeding profusely from a gunshot wound to the neck / face. The victim was transported to Saint Francis Hospital and listed in critical condition. Four shell casings were located in the street on front of 697 Windsor Street. Witnesses stated a young black male was shooting at a group of black males on the sidewalk at which point the uninvolved female victim was shot. This case was referred from the Major Crimes Division and then to the HPD Shooting Task Force. The detectives generated several investigative leads and identified a suspected shooter as "Debo".

"Debo" was identified as Deshawn Walton. The detectives developed substantial probable cause leading to the preparation of an arrest warrant. On July 27, 2015, an arrest warrant was granted by a Judge at GA14 with a court set bond of $1,500,000.00. Accused Walton is currently incarcerated for the Serious Assault with a Firearm / Attempted Murder that occurred at 2006 Main Street on Saturday, July 18, 2015. Accused Walton will be habeas to GA14 for arraignment. The female victim struck in the 697 Windsor Street shooting is still suffering from serious injuries.
