The Internal Affairs Division Today - 2013 is the first annual report on the Hartford Police Department Internal Affairs Division (IAD). Prepared by IAD Commander Lieutenant Robert Davis, the purpose of the report is to provide an overview of the division; give a meaningful statistical anlaysis of citizen complaints; conduct an overview of the investigation and review processes involved; and to maintain transparency between the department and the citizens of the City of Hartford. The report contains information on deployment of police resources, rank and make-up of sworn personnel, how citizen complaints are investigated, and statistical charts depicting categories of complaints.
