Narcotic & Large Money Seizure at 52 Lawrence Street
On August 19, 2015, at 4:30 pm, Detectives from the Hartford Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division, assisted by officers from the HPD South Conditions Unit, conducted an undercover narcotics operation in the area of 139 Babcock Street. This operation was conducted in response to the ongoing citizen complaints of open air drug sales taking place in and around the area of 139 Babcock Street. Undercover Detectives conducted surveillance in the immediate area and were able to identify prospective buyers and sellers of narcotics. A total of four people were arrested and charges with various narcotic charges (see below). In addition, officers learned that narcotics were being "stashed" inside the first floor apartment of 52 Lawrence Street. A search was conducted and evidence was recovered. Evidence recovered from both the apartment search as well as the search of the arrested individuals are listed below:
