Data and Reports

The epidemiology program manages multiple data sources that are important for the practice of public health. Much of this data is accessible on the Web through the links below. However, if you have more specialized data needs, please contact us.

Demographic data – The U.S. Census Bureau collects and reports data on population counts, age, race/ethnicity, income, and other demographic characteristics.

Health Outcomes data – The Connecticut Department of Public Health maintains a list of selected health outcomes data including vital statistics, such as births and deaths, which can be retrieved at local level.

The City of Hartford Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with area hospitals, community health centers, and academic institutions, conducts regular community health assessments to monitor progress towards health-related objectives. The department also compiles and periodically updates a community critical health indicators profile using community health assessment data. The following reports are available:

Hartford Health Survey 2006

Critical Health Indicators 2010

Community Health Needs Assessment 2012
