NEIL J. BREWER - ASSISTANT TO THE MAYOR

 

Neil J. Brewer has served as an assistant to Mayor Perez since January, 2008. Neil’s responsibilities include working with Hartford’s elected officials to create and pass State and municipal legislation, researching policy issues, and preparing formal correspondence leaving the office including policy remarks, testimony, and alike. Neil also works with community groups, council commissions, and constituents to research, create and implement myriad development programs concerning issues ranging from quality of life, health and safety, prisoner re-entry, housing and education. Neil, who lives in Hartford’s West End holds a B.A. in political science from Central Connecticut State University, and is currently pursuing an M.A. in public administration from The University of Connecticut.
