Emergency Management

The Hartford Fire Department’s Fire Chief serves as the Director of Emergency Management for the City of Hartford. Responsible for planning and directing disaster response, the Director of Emergency Management ensures the City has an up to date Emergency Operations plan to help mitigate all emergencies. In addition, the Director of Emergency Management coordinates a multi-government response by unifying the work of local, state and federal agencies whenever it is necessary.
