Mayor Eddie A. Perez
has charged city department heads
with three overarching assignments:
reshape City government so that it
better serves Hartford constituents;
restore the taxpayers’ confidence in
City government; and continue to
execute his vision for the City … a
tall order. The Mayor, Chief
Operating Officer and City
department heads looked to the
private sector and other cities for
best practices related to integrity,
management oversight and
productivity gains. As a result, a
number of ground-breaking
initiatives have been started.
